History & Traditions :
Native of Central Asia, tarragon is introduced into Europe by the Crusaders. Its name dracunculus refers to the name "small dragon", probably because of its roots which have a snake-like shape.
Herbaceous plant 30-70 cm tall, it has many stems and narrow green leaves, smooth and shiny. Tarragon grows especially in Europe.
