History & Traditions :

Savory is native of Europe and more particularly of the Balkans. It is a raw material that has always been considered aphrodisiac by the Greeks who incorporated it into their recipes as a love potion. But it is also used extensively in the kitchen.

It is a thick bush growing in the mountains, provided with thick stems with green leaves, long and fine. Their flowers are pinkish-white and have a very specific shape to savory.
