History & Traditions :

The Ravensara Anisata (or Havozo) is originally from Madagascar. This species is often confused with the Ravintsara because of the very close Malagasy names. It is recognizable by its strong aniseed odor.

It's the bark of the Ravensara aromatica wich is used for obtaining the Ravensara anisata.

It is a bushy tree measuring 20 meters in height. Its leaves are rigid, oval, moderately long and green. Its fruits grow from November to January.
