History & Traditions :
The Petitgrain Bigarade is native to Asia and was exported to the Mediterranean basin at the time of the Crusades. Today, it is essentially grown in Paraguay. It is widely used in perfumery and it is used in certain liqueurs.
It grows on a tree 15 meters high, its leaves are elliptical, long and green. It has thorny branches. Its flowers are white with 5 petals and its fruit is dark orange with a thick bark.
