Peppermint comes from India, the United States or Europe (in particular France). This species has been known for a very long time and has been found in the pyramids of Egypt. It is used in several fields, such as medicine for its many virtues.

It is a perennial plant belonging to the family Lamiaceae of 75 cm high, composed of large stems with long dark green oval leaves. Its flowers are small, purple and arranged in ears around the stem.
