History & Traditions :

Originally from eastern Australia, Macadamia nut is now present in Africa or Hawaii. The Australian Aborigines called it the "jindilli" nut and were the first to trade it. It is eaten raw or grilled, but it is also used in cosmetics.

It is the fruit of the Queensland Walnut, tree of tropical forests measuring 15 meters high. Its leaves are tough, elongated, long and dark green in color. Its fruit, the walnut, is round with a resistant shell light brown.
