History & Traditions :
Lavender appeared in the Mediterranean basin and is now found in eastern Europe. It was used by the Romans to perfume their baths and their clothes. Since the Middle Ages, it has been widely used in perfumery.
Lavender is a honey plant, highly sought after by bees. It is in the form of shrubs with a small stem (30-40 cm), with purple flowers in very odorous cobs, forming fields of heterogeneous color. It is found in a sunny and limestone environment, between 400 and 1700 m altitude.
