History & Traditions :
The grapefruit was much exported by sailors of different origins. It is now grown in South Africa, Israel, but mainly in Florida (USA), the main producer. It is commonly called grapefruit, but botanically it corresponds to grapefruit. It is widely used in cooking, for its acidulous taste.
Grapefruit is a fruit that can measure up to 15 cm in diameter and weigh up to 600 gr. Its rough bark is fairly thin and its pulpit is pink or white (yellow).
