History & Traditions :
Coconut is native to Indonesia, the Philippines or India. It is now acclimatized in most tropical countries.
It comes from the coconut tree, a tree of the family of palm trees measuring 25 meters high. Its leaves are long, thin and pointed in light green and dark green. Its fruit is surrounded by a brown spherical shell containing a white and smooth albumen. In the middle is a sweet liquid often drunk as is.
