History & Traditions :

Originally from Afghanistan, the carrot was imported into Europe in the 14th century. There were varieties with flesh or white skin, yellow, red, purple, but no orange carrots. In fact, the orange carrot is the product of human intervention. In the sixteenth century, Dutchmen will find varieties with red flesh and white flesh and will eventually obtain a root of a beautiful orange.

The carrot is a herbaceous plant that can reach up to 30 centimeters tall, thick and elongated. It is found in the wild mainly in Europe and India, and is grown in temperate countries.
