The name of Yarrow comes from Achilles, who have discovered and used the plant to heal the wounds of his soldiers during the Trojan War. During World War II, it was part of the first aid carried by each soldier's kit, in the lack of medicinal products, could cure light wounds with this plant.

The Yarrow is a perennial that reaches a height of 60-80 cm in general. The leaves are elongated, dark green, alternate, cut into thin strips short. It is found in grasslands in Europe and North America.
