History & Traditions :

The Blue Tansy (or Annual) is also known as Blue Chamomile of Morocco.Be careful not to confuse it with Egyptian Blue Chamomile (Sweet Chamomille) which is totally different.

It comes from the Mediterranean basin , mainly from Morocco. It was often venerated and used by Egyptian herbalists, as it has many virtues.

The Blue Tansy is an annual plant composed of large cylindrical stems with flowers of bright yellow color having a powdery appearance and growing in a small sphere. Its leaves are thin, serrated and long, resembling the leaves of the ferns.

It can be identified by its deep blue color resulting from the oil’s naturally high concentration of chamazulene.
