History & Traditions :
The Ravintsara is native to Asia but also Madagascar among others. In Malagasy, ravintsara means "good leaf" referring to its medicinal virtues. It is often confused with the Ravensara Aromatica because of their close orthography.
The Ravintsara is a 25-meter-tall tree whose leaves are evergreen, oval and long green to dark green. Its fruit is round and bluish to dark blue.
