The Sylvestris Pine (Scots pine) is a tree originating in Russia but also from temperate Europe (espacially Austria). This tree can reach 500 years, it's well known for his role in carpentry and also in the manufacture of musical instruments. It also has medicinal properties.

This tree is a large conifer that can measure up to 40 meters in height and its bark is of ocher color which makes its specificity in relation to the other pines. It is provided with short, grouped, thick needles and bluish green.
