History & Traditions :
The Myrtle originates from the Mediterranean basin in particular Morocco or Tunisia. In Greek mythology, the myrtle is associated with the goddess of love, Venus. It is also used for its medicinal properties. The Myrtles Morocco and Tunisia are very different both by their composition and by their smell.
It is a plant with long green leaves. Its flowers are white with large petals. The fruits are oval in shape from dark blue to black.
