History & Traditions :
Spanish Marjoram or Thyme from Spain is native to the Mediterranean basin (Spain, Portugal). It has been used for a very long time in the villages to celebrate Saint John. The custom is that it be burned and that anyone who does not breathe its aroma does not know love during the year. It is in the form of a perennial aromatic plant about 80 cm high. Its flowers are pink to white. Its leaves are small, oval, veined and green. |
