History & Traditions :
Ginger has existed for at least 3 millennia and is native to Asia more specifically from India and China. It is used in several areas, such as cooking. The Egyptians imported it and used it to mummify the bodies.
It consists of large stems with long green leaves and pink flowers. But it is its rhizome that is used in the majority of cases.
