History & Traditions :

The geranium, native of Madagascar or Reunion Island, means crane in Greek "geranos", because of the resemblance of the fruit of this plant with the beak of this bird. In the 16th century, it arrived in Europe, becoming very fashionable in the gardens of the castles and at the court.

It grows in tufted bushes of 60 cm, its flowers are pink-red and can be white to petals. The leaves are cut, serrated and green.
