History & Traditions :

Originally from India, davana has an important place during their religious rituals. It is often woven into a garland to decorate the temples dedicated to Shiva.

It is a flowering plant that grows mainly in the southern regions of India, which are often found near the Santals, with which it has a good affinity. This plant is mostly present in private gardens, and grows little in the wild.
