History & Traditions :
Copaiba or copahu, also Amazonian Balm, is an oleoresin that naturally exudes from the trunk of the Copaifera officinalis tree after incision. After distillation, it can be made into an essential oil comparable to turpentine.
The copayer is a tree originating in South America and notably Brazil, Colombia.
