History & Traditions :

The camphor tree is the emblematic tree of the city of Hiroshima, the first, with the Ginkgo biloba, to have resumed after the atomic bombing.

It is a medium-sized tree, 15 to 25 m tall. Its area of origin is located in China, Taiwan and Japan. It has become naturalized in other continents and sometimes behaves as an invasive species.
