History & Traditions :

The shepherds, who held the secret of the distillation of Cade's wood, used its precious oil to protect their faces and hands from the wind and the sun.

The Cade is a small tree common in the Mediterranean coastal region and on the high uplands and valleys of the Massif Central, where it is one of the characteristic plants of garrigues and maquis.
