History & Traditions :
In Arabic "albarquq", the apricot means "precocious" because of its spring bloom. It is native to China but is grown in Europe and in the Mediterranean basin especially in Morocco.
The apricot tree is a vigorous tree that can measure 6 meters high. Its leaves are deciduous, elliptic, and dark green. Its flowers are white and large. The particularity of its flowers is that they grow before the leaves. The fruit is globose, orange with a nucleus.
