The Angelica, also called "grass with angels" was worn as an amulet, because according to beliefs it would protect against bad spells. Renaissance physicians called it the "root of the Holy Spirit," because it was used to drive out evil spirits.

It’s a biennial herbaceous plant. Its stems can reach up to 2 meters, and they bear serrated leaves of a bright green. The yellow-green flowers form dense balls. It is grown in France, Germany, Belgium, Italy, Poland and the Czech Republic.
